Hi Bloggers.

I thought I’d start sharing some sneak peeks from the One Day Special that I’m launching on Hochanda on Friday at 6pm. There’s alot of new products on the show so early sneak peeks seem appropriate.

Here’s your sneak peek –

Heart Scene Pop-em Crackle Rust

I’ve used one of the new Heart Pop-ems Scenes – these were very popular at Ally Pally on the Creative Expressions Make & Take. They are bit addictive, I have to admit! Here’s what they look like naked –

CEGBHEART

I popped some CS Warm White Chalk Paint onto my Craft Sheet and mixed in some Teal Wash CS Pixie Powder. I used this to paint my base piece. Once dry, I popped the new That Special Touch Fade Away Mask on top, spread CS White Crackle Paste through it and put aside to dry. Let it dry naturally, don’t heat it. The paste pulls some of the colour up from the base as it dries, cool, eh?

I used the Rust Special Effects Paint Kit to colour my heart and the sentiment panel. It really doesn’t matter which order you put the paints on, the metallic does need to go on last though. Phill Martin and I do it in a totally different way (of course!) but it always looks great. I’ll demo this several times during the One Day Special.

Rust on Heart scene pop-em

The nuts from the Pop-em Scene have been coloured using the Patina Special Effects Paint Kit – they were actually left over from the Make & Take so there’s not quite as much texture on them as I usually have – still great though.

I stamped some flowers onto Coconut White Card using Ocean Teal CS Gilding Polish using the Passion Flower Stamps to Die For. I’ve cut them out using the Passion Flower Die Set. I added a nut to the centre of each one.

I stamped the sentiment from Lisa Horton’s Loopy Textures & Elements Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Onyx Black Versafine and glued it to my rusted piece. I added a coupleof Patina nuts to it.

I punched a couple of holes in the top of my base piece using my Crop-a-Dile, added a couple of nuts and thread some string through.

As I said, they’re quite addictive. Here’s some more samples from Tracey Laughton and myself –
