Hi Bloggers.

Hope you enjoyed the One Day Special. Here’s today’s card –

Birthday Frame Pop out

I started by scoring 2 sheets of A4 Coconut White Card in half. On one piece, I also scored along the A4 Gatefold line on both sides of my centre score line. I trimmed both pieces to 7″ wide.

Working on the front of my card (on the piece without the gatefold score lines), I embossed a piece of Coconut White Card using the Rope Chain Embossing Folder. I matted onto Black Card and added to the front of my card using CE Mounting Cushion.

I popped a piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card and cut the outer die from the Birthday Party Die Set out of it. I cut the inner die and the sentiment from the set out of Coconut White Card. I peeled away the backing sheet from the largest die cut and added the inner frame and the sentiment. I then added CS Holographic Glitterbitz – Mermaid Purple, Lilac Shine and Blush Haze, graduating the colour down the panel. I added the panel to the front of my card using CE Mounting Cushion.

I completed the front of my card by adding a Small Black Circle Dazzler to each corner of my background.

This could be a completed card but I wanted to make a pop-out card. I trimmed a piece of Copy Paper to 6 1/2″ square. Using a Natural Sponge, I added CS Colourful Crystal Tints in Pure Amethyst, Rose Quartz and Pink Topaz to the Copy Paper to create a patterned paper.

I folded a paper from the Paper Pad in half. I ran glue along one edge and popped it into the fold of my card. I closed the card, pressed down to adhere. I added glue along the other edge of the paper and folded the card again.

I placed the inner die from the Isobel Die Set on the half fold score line of my other piece of card and cut.

I popped a piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto another piece of Coconut White Card. I peeled away the backing sheets and randomly sprinkled over the same 3 colours of Holographic Glitterbitz as before until the whole area was covered. I then cut the inner die from the Birthday Party Die Set out of it. I snipped at the frame and added the elements to the side panels of the inside of my card.

I cut the sentiment from the Isobel Die Set out of Black Card.

With all the decoration complete, now is the time to put the 2 pieces of card together. I popped glue on the left-hand side panel and secured it to the left-hand side of the inside of my first piece. I popped glue on the right-hand side panel and secured it to the right-hand side of the inside of my first piece.

Hope you’ve had a go at making a Pop-out Card.  I made one for the Wedding Shows I did recently – you can read about that one here. I made a Christmas one with some Justrite dies and stamps – here. There’s one here over on my old blog featuring Spellbinders and Sue Wilson Dies. There’s another one on my old blog here using the Caribbean Background on the inside – one of my favourites.

Freebie Friday is having a couple of weeks off. It’ll be back, don’t worry.

Thanks for stopping by.
