Hi Bloggers.
Francoise Read has shows on Hochanda today at 12noon and 4pm with some of her lovely new Christmas stamps so I thought I’d share a couple of super quick & easy cards made using one of the stamps on the shows –
Both these cards would be great for batch makes.
This is the same technique as used with the Lavinia Stamps in last Saturday’s post.
To re-cap, I popped Phill Martin’s Oval Aperture Stencil on top of a piece of Coconut White Card. I added Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick using Smoothies. Leaving the stencil in place I sprinkled a little water over and blotted with Kitchen Roll. I stamped The Nativity Story by Francoise using Nocturne Versafine Clair.
I completed my card by matting onto Black and Coconut White Card and adding a 5mm Black Pearl to each corner.
So, I just dusted a piece of Milk Card with an Anti-Static Pad. I stamped The Nativity Story using Nocturne Versafine Clair and embossed with CS Clear Detail Embossing Powder. I sprinkled just a little Rich Gold and Lava Red Pixie Powders over and misted with water.
Once dry, I cut it out using die #8 from the Double Stitched Rectangles Set B and edged with Candied Apple Distress Oxide using a Smoothie.
I completed my card by matting onto Black Card and Milk Card.
This is such a great stamp that does all the work for you. You can do more with it, of course, and I’m sure that Francoise will show you how.
