I have another sneak peek for you today from the Spellbinders One Day Special that I’m launching on Hochanda on Thursday at 6pm –

spellbinders stepanie low mandala blossomsAs well as the beautiful dies designed by Marisa Job, there are some gorgeous red rubber stamps on the shows designed by Stephanie Low – I’ve used just one of the stamps from the Mandala Blossoms Set on this card.

Mandala stamps were very popular about 10 years ago. The lovely Jayne Nestorenko made some fabulous projects with them using Cosmic Shimmer watercolours and fine glitters. They’re not necessarily the quickest to do – they can be or you can really go to town and add lots of layers and lots of colour.

I started with a piece of Black Card 5″ square. I popped the stamp into my Woodware Stamp Press and inked it up with Spellbinders Jane Davenport Beluga White Squid Ink. I stamped into the centre of the card. I stamped in each corner, re-inking each time.

I matted onto Bright White Card and  Black Card. This make a lovely quick card.

For my card, I stamped the mandala twice more on Black Card using Beluga White Squid Ink and twice more on Bright White Card using Cave Black Squid Ink. I cut into all 4, reducing the size in each one, alternating between Black and White.

I stacked them on top of each other using CE Mounting Cushion and added an 8mm White Pearl to the top.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek.

Thanks for stopping by.
