Today’s post is a little different – I thought I’d show you the new Cosmic Shimmer Opal Polishes and Lustre Polishes.
I have only got swatches of 4 of each of the new polishes – I need to collect my pots when I visit CE tomorrow. Anyway, you’ll get the idea of them.
First, we’ll look at the Opal Polishes –
So, there are 6 colours in the Opal Polish Collection.
Opal Polishes can be used in the same way as Gilding Polishes. They are water-based. You can colour card with them, add them to embossed backgrounds, stamp with them and paint with them. Their point of difference is that they have interference mica in them so they look different on white and black card.
First up is Blushed Peach Opal Polish – a lovely pale peach on white card and more of a copper on black card.
Next is Golden Flamingo – a lovely flamingo pink on white card and gold on black card.
This is Blue Parakeet – lime green on white card and blue on black card.
This is Lavender Blue – blue on white card, lavender on black card.
I’ve used some of the new Creative Expressions 3D Embossing Folders for my swatches – available here.
Opal Polishes are available on my website here.
Here’s a very quick video that I filmed at Creativeworld – sorry the sound isn’t very good.
We’ll have a look at the Lustre Polishes now.
There are 8 colours in the Lustre Polish Collection.
Lustre Polishes are more sparkly than Gilding Polish – they have shards of mica in them. The colours are rich and intense. As with the Opal and Gilding Polishes, they are water-based. You can colour card with them, add them to embossed backgrounds, stamp with them and paint with them.
Now close your eyes – the next few pics are with one of Lisa Horton’s new embossing folders that aren’t released yet.
Lemon Sherbet Lustre Polish.
Raspberry Sorbet Lustre Polish.
Violet Vibe Lustre Polish.
Tantilising Teal Lustre Polish.
You can find the Lustre Polishes on my website here.
Here’s a little video – once again the sound quality isn’t brilliant.
Hope this has been useful to you. If you’re on facebook, there are some facebook lives in my Julia Watts Crafts timeline which show you the products better.
