I have an ATC for you today –

Now, I know that some of you aren’t into mixed media but even if that’s you, there must be something within this project that you can use on your card projects – please don’t tell me that this isn’t your kind of thing 😬.

Ok, so, I’ve used an MDF ATC – these are thinner than our usual MDF being just 2mm thick. I covered 1 side using Golden Glow Opal Polish – I did 2 coats as it’s quite a light colour. I did not Gesso the ATC first – I do prefer not to if I can get away with it. I covered the back with Lemon Sherbet Lustre Polish.

I dabbed an Emboss-it Dabber along the bottom left hand corner and added CS Bronze Age Mixed Media Embossing Powder. I heat set using the low speed setting on the Woodware Heat Gun.

I used Sunset Boulevard Kaleidoscope Paint Kit in the top right hand corner applying all the textured paints in the set using a Stencil Brush, drying between each colour. I dry brushed some of the pearl paint in the set over the top.

I popped the Splash Mini Stencil on top and applied Stellar Champagne CS Luna Paste through it across the centre of my ATC and set aside to dry.

For the hummingbird , I coloured a piece of Coconut White Card with Golden Glow Opal Polish and another square with Lemon Sherbet Lustre Polish.

I cut the middle layer of the hummingbird  in the Hummingbird Triple Layer Die Set into the Opal Polish piece and the top layer into the Lustre Polish piece. I glued the top layer to the middle layer. I placed the outer die over the top, securing with Low Tack Tape, and cut.

I popped a piece of Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of Coconut White Card and cut the outer die from it. I peeled away the backing sheet and added it the back of my hummingbird. I added Gold Flame Sparkle Shaker to the exposed adhesive.

I popped my hummingbird onto my ATC using CE Mounting Cushion and a little CS Glue.

Thanks for stopping by.
