I hope you enjoyed the shows yesterday. It’s a quick turnaround for me as I have more shows on Saturday – this time with Jane Gill’s latest release of Woodware Stamps. So, I have a sneak peek for you today –
These cards feature the Picked For You Stamp Set and use a technique taught to me many years ago by Sue Wilson – Faux Batik.
I started with an A5 piece of Coconut White Card. I dusted with an Anti-Static Pad and stamped the flowers from the Picked For You Stamp Set over it using Clear Perfect Medium and embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder. I also stamped and embossed the dotty stamp.
I cut my background in half. I folded both pieces in several places. I turned them over and folded again in different places.
For this one, I misted my card with a little water and then misted with Lush Pink, Electric Blue and Purple Paradise Misters. I used a Brayer to move the ink around and set aside to dry. Once dry, I rubbed a piece of Kitchen Roll over to remove any excess ink from the embossed lines.
I stamped one of the flowers onto Coconut White Card, again using Clear Perfect Medium but this time I embossed with CS True White Detail Embossing Powder. I added a little of the Purple Paradise Mister and Lush Pink Mister to my Craft Sheet and coloured my flower using a Water Brush. I cut the flower out using scissors.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set, stamped using Nocturne Versafine Clair and embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder. I cut it out using a Stitched Flag and cut the next sized flag out of Black Card.
I coloured my extra flower using the same 2 Oxides.
The sentiment is from the Woodware Hello Stamp Set, once again stamped using Nocturne Versafine Clair, embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder and cut out using a Stitched Flag.
Thanks for stopping by.
