I have a pair of cards for you today with Paper Cuts Edgers and a bright Bargello background –
I started by colouring 3 x A5 pieces of Coconut White Card with CS Lustre Polishes – one with Bubblegum, one with Tango Tease and one with Lemon Sherbet. I cut them into one inch strips (or you could do 2cm) and glued them to a piece of Copy Paper, alternating the colours.
I trimmed off the excess copy paper and straightened my edges and then trimmed into one inch strips going the other way –
I glued these strips to another piece of copy paper, offsetting them so that the colours stepped down –
I cut the extra squares off from the right-hand side and glued them to the left, keeping the pattern flowing –
I managed to make 2 cards from my background –
I trimmed a piece of my background and embossed it using the Field of Flowers Embossing Folder –
I cut the Paper Cuts Honeysuckle Edger out of Coconut White Card twice. I made a frame out of Coconut White Card using the Double Stitched Rectangles B and added it to my edger die cuts. I then added these to my embossed background.
I matted onto Coconut White and Black Card.
The sentiment is from the Woodware I Meant To, stamped using Nocturne Versafine Clair. I cut if out using a Double Stitched Rectangle B and matted onto Black Card cut using Double Stitched Rectangles.
I completed my card by adding a 5mm White Pearl to each corner of my frame.
I cut the Paper Cuts Rambling Rose Edger out of Coconut White Card and added to my remaining piece of background.
Once again, I added a frame and matted onto Coconut White and Black Card.
The sentiment is from the Woodware Some People Stamp Set.
It’s my good friend, Sue Wilson’s birthday today. If you haven’t already done so, head on over to her Blog to wish her Happy Birthday 😀.
Thanks for stopping by.
