Here’s today’s card –

SY Fashionista Fashion Victim Lovely Lacework

This is one where I changed my mind a bit on the background. I started by stamping the SY Wooly Knit background onto SY Almond Hue Card 4 times, next to each other, using Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide to create a rectangular piece. I then arranged some of the sentiments from the SY Fashionista Collection onto my Woodware Stamp Press and stamped them onto my background using Wilted Violet Distress Oxide. They got a bit lost, to be honest, but as they say – it’s all about the layers!

I had some Spiced Marmalade on my Craft Sheet from another background, I misted it with water and dipped my background into it. Once dry, I cut the largest but one of the SY Double Debossed Rounded Corner Rectangle from it and inked around the edges with Wilted Violet Oxide. I cut the next sized Rectangle out of SY Elegant Ebony Card and matted onto a piece of SY Almond Hue Card.

Next, I dusted a piece of SY Almond Hue Card with an Anti Static Bag. I stamped the SY Lovely Lacework Background twice, next to each other, and embossed with SY Soft Rose Twinkling Embossing Powder. I cut a SY Double Debossed Essential Oval from it (tip put a piece of Wax Paper between the die and the card to save cleaning glitter off your mats and off your die). I edged my oval with Wilted Violet Oxide and matted onto Elegant Ebony Card using the next sized Oval.

I stamped one of the borders from the SY Stitching Borders onto a strip of Almond Hue Card using Nocturne Versafine Clair. I coloured in using a couple of the pens from the SY Watercolour Blending Brush Pens Set 2. I edged the strip with Wilted Violet Oxide and matted onto a strip of Elegant Ebony Card. I glued it to my oval, snipping away the excess. I added may oval to my card using Foam Tape.

I stamped the SY Fashionista : Fashion Victim onto Bockingford Watercolour Card. I cut her out (make sure ink is dry) and coloured in using SY Watercolour Blending Brush Pens Set 2. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink for the skin, ‘cos I’m lazy ๐Ÿ˜€. I added her to my oval using Foam Pads.

I cut one of the smaller SY Double Debossed Rounded Corner Rectangles out of Almond Hue Card. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Fashion Victim Set and edged the Rectangle with Wilted Violet Oxide. I matted onto Elegant Ebony Card cut using the next sized Rectangle. I added it to my card using Foam Tape.

For my flowers, I created a mopped up ink background. I scribbled some pen from the SY Watercolour Blending Brush Pens Set 2 onto a SY Blending Mat. I misted with water and picked it up onto a piece of Bockingford Card. Once dry, I repeated the process with another pen. Once dry, I dusted with an Anti Static Bag. I stamped 6 of the flowers from the SY Romantique Flowers Stamp Set twice using Wilted Violet Distress Oxide and embossed ย using SY Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. I cut the flowers out using the corresponding dies in the SY Romantique Flowers Die Set.

I shaped the flowers using the pointy tweezers in the SY Tweezers Set, paired up the flowers in size and glued them together. I added a SY Dusky Heather Pearl to the centre of each flower.

The leaves are cut from Almond Hue Card using the SY Leafy Fronds Die Set. I arranged my leaves and flowers in 2 of the corners of my card.

I have a bunch of deliveries due in today so hopefully I can get a load of website orders posted out. I know Phill is a bit behind so I won’t have all of the stock I’ve ordered from him just yet. Also, IndigoBlu are struggling with limited staff so they’re behind too. Please be patient!

Thanks for stopping by.
