Hi Bloggers.
I have a selection of simple cards for you today featuring some lovely Lavinia Stamps fairies –
I love Lavinia Stamps – they’re great quality and the fairies are so beautiful. There are some fabulous creations about made by some very talented people which, I think, we try to emulate and when we can’t, we give up! So, for the workshop I did with Phill last weekend, I decided to keep it really simple so it was achievable by everyone and there were some really lovely cards created by the attendees.
We used Distress Oxides, Phill’s Aperture Stencils, Sue’s Petal Pocket Flowers and a selection of Sue’s leaf dies. My samples are all stamped using Nocturne Versafine Clair (I think this is the ink pad to use with any silhouette stamps). The sentiments are from Phill’s Butterfly Elegance Sentiments.
On this one, I’ve used the Oval Aperture Stencil with Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxides, The fairy is Aerial. I’ve also used the stars from the Fairy Bugs Stamp Set. The leaves are the Curly Fern.
On this one, I’ve used the Diamond Aperture Stencil with Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides, The fairy is Grace. I’ve also used the Stars Minature. The leaves are the Orange Blossom Leaves.
On this one, I’ve used the Circle Aperture Stencil with Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxides, The fairy is Aurora. The leaves are the Whimsical Leaves.
On this one, I’ve used the Hexagon Aperture Stencil with Faded Jeans and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxides, The fairy is the Flower Fairy. I’ve also used the butterfly from the Fairy Bugs Stamp Set. The leaves are the Laurel Leaves.
These cards are quite quick to make, the flowers and leaves are optional but ideal for covering inky marks!
You can find Lavinia Stamps on my website here – we have quite a good selection now. Sebastian the Seahorse and Simmi are now back in stock.
The Paper Cuts dies are proving extremely popular, as expected. Please be patient while I try to catch up with all the orders. I am doing my best!
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Julia.
Beautiful cards. I also love Lavinia stamps but worry about not being artistic enough, I feel I could probably achieve something worthwhile using your technique. Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes

Hi Julia
These are a beautiful set of cards I love Lavinia stamps and pretty much all things Sue Wilson but I couldn’t quite get my head round the pocket flowers, but I think you may have changed my mind. They really work well with the fairy stamps. I’m not sure I should be thanking you though for changing my mind!!!!!
With best Wishes

Hi Julia I’m new to following your posts and technology in general. So even though these fairy cards are from 2 years ago they are beautiful. I love how you say using these simple stamps and all the bits and bovs you can make these quickly. They are stunning i love the different colours in the background esp the green one. The simple black fairy stamped image along with the die cut flowers etc.. looks so stunning because of the background. Someone called you the queen of backgrounds and i agree. These are cards when im well enough to make a crafting corner in my room this is what i want to achieve. I’m buying up bits and pieces like stamps ink pads pens paper cardstock cards and envelopes etc. J want to get a die cutting machine and if money were no object a circuit would be fabulous so would a sewing machine. Once lockdown is over i hope to get very crafty!! Thank you for sharing your work its very uplifting xxx

Hello, I just recently found Lavinia stamps and did a google search for Lavinia cards. Your cards immediately caught my eye! Beautiful and yet “simple” – I hope as I try my hand at recreating these.
